BACKGROUND SUMMARY

Before Graduation I started working at Muhlheims Jewelry Store, and continued until Sept 6, 1953, when Bob Lamb (my high school sweetheart) and I were married. I have been so lucky to having shared my life with this very special man. It would be a lot easier to write about him, than me. However, since I will probably type his biography, if he does not write enough about himself I'll add my 2 cents.

After we were married, Bob still had a year and half of college at KU in Lawrence, KS. This was a very exciting time for me. I worked a few months at the Phone company, then got a job at the University until Bob graduated. That was my last job, I've been a kept homemaker every since.

We moved to Joplin Missouri where Bob started working for Empire District Electric Co. He had to leave after a few months with Empire for his tour of duty in the Air Force.

We have two children, Nancy Durham and David Lamb, both of Joplin, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Special interests: First in our lives is our love for our Savior. We have both been active in our church through out our married life in many ways. I also was active in Girl Scouts, The Art Center, Museum and Women s Club. I enjoyed golfing, knitting, crocheting , oil painting, and right now in my life playing bridge.

Since, Bob has retired we have been able to take many wonderful trips, and if the Lord is willing we hope to continue.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from my class of '50 scrap book.
