Mayme Dee Flynn, 91, of Ft. Morgan passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 in Ft. Morgan. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:30 am Monday, December 11 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am with Father Michael Bodzioch celebrating. Interment will be at Goodland Cemetery, Goodland, Kansas. Mayme was born on June 27, 1932 in Goodland, Kansas to Gilbert and Bertha (Byrd) Hicks. She attended Goodland public schools and Colorado Women’s College in Denver. Mayme spent over 40 years as a Preschool Teacher. Mayme married John Gallagher in 1952 in Goodland and were married for 20 years. She later married Mick Flynn in 1978 in Ft. Lupton, and they were married for 27 years. Mayme was very active with the Catholic church organizations. She enjoyed having fun, connecting with friends, and all things Irish. Mayme is survived by her daughters Julie Hornback of Bakersfield, CA and Jane Dunne of Chicago, IL; son Patrick Gallagher of Mesa, AZ; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Bertha Hicks Guy, father Gilbert, stepfather Leonard Guy, sister Lois Stegman, husband John Gallagher, and husband Mick Flynn.
